The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU are both included in the Zephyrus G15. That’s a dreamy combination since I’ve never played Forza Horizon 5 on another laptop and had a better time racing through the streets of Mexico. While I was plugged into the power out, I also played some Fifa and Halo, and I didn’t see any frame rate reductions.
As always, playing on this laptop’s battery is not recommended; if you do, you can anticipate occasional lags.
Zephyrus G15 (2022) Display Review
The Zephyrus G15’s standout feature is its 15.6-inch QHD (2560×1440) IPS display. It has a peak brightness of 300 nits and a 240Hz refresh rate. The faster refresh rate does result in some brightness and color loss, but most gamers are willing to accept it.
Because it is a Pantone-validated display, the color contrast is excellent. Additionally, it has adaptive sync technology for lag-free viewing. You’ll fall in love with the Zephyrus G15’s display as well as its support for Dolby Vision right away.
Battery life is a lot better
I was quite pleased with the battery life considering how powerful the Zephyrus G15 is as a gaming device. With the Zephyrus G15’s 90Whr battery pack, I was able to use it for a solid 7 hours while going about my daily business. In less than 120 minutes, I did manage to destroy the laptop, but only after running it through the streets of Mexico on Forza Horizon 5. The laptop can be charged via the Type-C connector and does so very quickly.
